Biography
Nasser Ary Tanimoune has a PhD in Economics from the University of Orleans (France) and has done postdoctoral research at CNRS at the Center for Studies and Research in International Development (CERDI), in Clermont-Ferrand (France). He is the first laureate of the Abdoulaye FADIGA Price awarded by the Central Bank of West African States (Central Bank of West African States, BCEAO) in 2009.His work deals with financing structures (banks, microcredit and tontines) and their effectiveness in developing countries. He is also working with other countries on the impact of fiscal policies and economic convergence in West African countries. His on-site contributions from a quantitative analysis software package, the latter during a stay at the Cell of Analysis and Prospective Development in Niamey, in Niger (CAPED).
